Students can also take the AQA Level 3 Extended Project Qualification at St Andrew’s. An opportunity to extend students abilities beyond their sixth form course of study, the EPQ gives students the opportunity to stand out and prepare for university or their future career. The EPQ enables students to choose an area to study of their own interest, research the topics and write an extended essay which is then presented to a panel. Widely valued by universities and worth generally 0.5% of an A-Level in points, having an EPQ often results in lower university offers.
